Rural Women New Zealand
Seeking to empower rural women and girls by nurturing their talents and skills, Rural Women New Zealand has become an authoritative voice in the rural sector on health services, education, environment and social issues.
Rural Women New Zealand has been an integral part of the New Zealand rural landscape for over 90 years. They are an organisation at the forefront of rural issues, working hard to ensure the voices of New Zealand rural women and their families are heard. Rural Women New Zealand are a membership organisation with branches nationwide. Some groups meet for networking and friendship, while others are focused on education and the facilitation of workshops and training days.
Virbac New Zealand's donation to Rural Women New Zealand will fund the newly established grant, the Virbac Rural Women New Zealand Animal Health Study Grant. This grant will be available to any person studying in the veterinary or vet nursing field with special consideration given to those choosing to live and work in small or rural communities within New Zealand.
