Amphoprim® Bolus is an antibiotic bolus containing Trimethoprim and Sulphamethoxypyridazine. It is used to treat infections of the respiratory tract, digestive tract, urogenital tract, and other local/generalised infections.

  • Once-a-day administration.
  • Broad-spectrum.
  • Oral or intrauterine administration.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

  • Cattle, calves, horses, foals, sheep and goats: one bolus per 50 kg bodyweight for 3-5 days.
  • When administering orally, give whole or dissolved in water. When administering intrauterine for metritis, place one whole bolus into the uterus - repeat in 24 - 48 hours if required. Ensure adequate drinking water is available during treatment.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS

It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds.

  • Milk (cattle): 48 hours / 4 milkings
  • Milk (sheep and goats): 35 days
  • Meat (cattle, sheep and goats): 5 days
  • Meat (horses): 63 days

Available in packs of 20 boluses.

 

This product is classified as orange under Antibiotic Judicious Use Guidelines for the New Zealand Veterinary Profession.
