The Speed™ T4 assay is a rapid immunochromatographic quantitative test which measures the circulating total T4 by laser-induced fluorescence analysis. The test should be performed only with a Speed Reader™ analyser.

Hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are among the most common endocrine disorders in dogs and cats. The Speed™ T4 test can be used for senior care screening, diagnosis in the presence of suggestive symptoms or for treatment monitoring.

Speed™ T4 assay permits a first line evaluation of the thyroid gland during the consultation. Simple and fast, the Speed™ T4 test offers to the possibility to have reliable quantitative results within 15 minutes.

Serum or plasma (Heparin-Li)

18 months between 2°C and 8°C

The correlation with the reference method was very good for both canine and feline samples (R2 = 0.91 and R2 = 0.95, respectively) and demonstrated a high association between the Speed™ T4 assay and the reference method (canine and feline chemiluminescent-enzyme immunoassay; IMMULITE®2000)
