Masticillin™ is an injectable mastitis treatment for lactating dairy cows and heifers that contains procaine penicillin. It’s used to treat early season, multi-quarter mastitis, particularly Strep. uberis.

  • One vial = one cow
  • Ready to use! Just shake and inject
  • Plastic vials, meaning no more broken glass in dairy sheds
  • Registered for use in combination with Intracillin® 1000 MC for severe mastitis cases

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

  • Only one treatment is required, divided as two 15 ml injections on either side of the upper neck – one 30ml vial equals one cow.
  • Shake the vial vigorously until the product is evenly re-suspended.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS

It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds.

  • Milk (twice-a-day): 132 hours / 11 milkings
  • Milk (once-a-day):  144 hours / 6 milkings
  • Meat: 10 days

PACK SIZES

Available in boxes of 4 x 30 ml plastic vials.

 

This product is classified as green under Antibiotic Judicious Use Guidelines for the New Zealand Veterinary Profession.
