Quadrant™ DC is a long-acting dry cow containing cephalonium. It’s used to treat existing, and prevent new infections in dairy cows at drying off.

  • Developed and made in New Zealand
  • The same pre-natal treatment intervals (Milk Withholding Periods) as Cepravin®
  • Packaged in handy, plastic buckets

DOSAGE

Treat each cow immediately following its final milking for the season. Administration must not be delayed. When using dry cow preparations, care must be taken not to introduce infection into the udder.

  • Clean teat thoroughly with an antibacterial teat wipe or cotton wool soaked in methylated spirit.
  • Allow to dry.
  • Partially insert the nozzle and infuse the full contents of the syringe into the teat canal.
  • Spray carefully with an approved teat spray.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS

It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds.

  • Milk (if the cow calves 49 days or more after treatment): 8 milkings
  • Milk (if the cow calves within 49 days of treatment): 49 days plus 8 milkings
  • Meat: 30 days

PACK SIZES

Available in buckets of 200 syringes (to treat 50 cows).

 

This product is classified as orange under antibiotic judicious use guidelines for the New Zealand Veterinary profession. Orange light antimicrobials are restricted to specifi­c indications or used as second line therapy under therapeutic conditions. Visit nzva.org.nz/amr and talk to your Vet to learn more.
