Copperguard is a copper injection containing calcium copper edetate. It’s used to treat and prevent copper deficiency in cattle, sheep and deer.

  • Contains calcium copper edetate, meaning a faster absorption rate and less injection site reactions.
  • Nil milk and meat withholding periods.
  • Excellent syringeability.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

  • Dairy and beef cattle (over 4 months of age): 2 ml in the upper neck by subcutaneous injection only. Dosage may be increased up to a maximum of 4 ml if severe copper deficiency has been confirmed through clinical symptoms or liver biopsy.
  • Adult sheep: 1 ml in the upper neck by subcutaneous injection only.
  • Deer: 1 ml/50 kg bodyweight in the upper neck by subcutaneous injection only.

Shake thoroughly before and during use to ensure a uniform suspension. Dosage may be repeated after 4 months, up to a maximum of 3 times per year. Do not use in cattle under 4 months of age.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS

It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds.
